Brussels is the lobbying capital of Europe where more than 2,600 groups represent European, national and regional interests and over 15,000 professionals seek to influence the EU legislative procedure in the field of economy, human rights, justice, environment and so on. Indeed, European decision-making process is the outcome of a dynamic interaction and dialogue between Institutions and lobby organizations.
The Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce, settled in Brussels, wants to share its long time experience on European affairs in providing the training course on “EU lobbying - Skills and Strategies”, tailored for those who wish to obtain and improve specific abilities to lobby EU Institutions. Focusing on the in-depth study of their organizations, strategies and actions, the course aims to discover the European lobbying environment. Particular attention will be given to improve specific skills in negotiation and communication tools and to learn how to develop a successful lobbying campaign. The five-day program, from 4th to 8th June 2012, is divided between theoretical lectures and practical laboratories based on team groups and it is taught in English by an international team of professionals and lobbyists. At the end of the course, participants will benefit of three months of free consultancy on lobbying activities offered by the European Desk of the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce. Enrolments in the course are now open until 11th May 2012.
